Fix screen rotation setting

Symptoms

The orientation of the screen is "correct", "up" or "side". (Picture 1 [English only])

Reason

The Intel integrated graphics driver software has a sequence of keyboard shortcuts to change the orientation of the screen.

Solution

Hotkey method:

All versions of the Intel® Graphics Control Panel support hotkeys. When these keys are pressed, the screen can be rotated automatically without entering the Intel® Graphics Control Panel. By default, the keyboard shortcuts for rotation are:

0 degrees (normal/vertical):

Ctrl+Alt+up arrow

90 degrees ( Quarter turn):

Ctrl + Alt + right arrow

180 degrees (upside down):

Ctrl + Alt + down arrow

270 degrees (quarter turn counterclockwise):

Remark:

If needed, these shortcuts can be changed through the Shortcuts Manager in the Intel® Graphics Control Panel.

You can also set screen rotation settings in the ATI Catalyst Graphics Control Panel (Figure 3 [English-only]).
