Sony cameras selected by NBC Olympics to capture Tokyo 2020

Sony HDC-3500, PXW-Z750 and many other broadcast cameras & production equipment to help NBC Olympics cover the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

NBC Olympics teams will use nearly 100 Sony cameras to capture footage at event venues and record athlete interviews, press conferences and other assignments that require studio and portable recording and capture. . A selection of Sony cameras, including the

NBC Olympics will use several models of production switchers from Sony, including the flagship XVS-9000 4K/3G Switcher/HD IP-ready and the XVS-8000 and XVS-6000 4K/3G/HD video switchers designed for IP production and SDI. Many switchers will be used in an IP environment and several will be designated for 1080P HDR production.

The mixers will manage feeds from each sports venue to NBC Olympics' production facilities inside NBC Olympics' International Broadcast Center in Tokyo, as well as to create HD cable coverage on NBCUniversal's various networks and platforms. NBC Olympics will also use hundreds of professional monitors from Sony, including 4K master monitors for critical image evaluation and the TRIMASTER EL OLED/4K monitor series for on-set and location monitoring.
