Whisk

, an intelligent power platform

acquired by Samsung NEXT

last year, today unveiled its advanced food AI developed in collaboration with nutritionists, food scientists, software engineers and food retailers from the US, UK, Korea and overseas. 'Europe.

Whisk's FoodAI brings together user preferences, intent and context to deliver personalized dining experiences. To inform the AI, users simply save a few of their favorite recipes to Whisk's recipe box and, if they wish, share their personal food preferences (e.g. tastes, dietary restrictions, usual retailers) and their location. Users then receive personalized food recommendations based on their preferences, saved recipes, and other contexts (eg, local weather, seasonal produce).

The impact of this goes beyond the individual dining experience to help families make smarter food decisions. “In the United States, the average person wastes 238 pounds of food per year, or 21% of the food they buy. Wasted ingredients also cost the average American household $1,800 a year.

"Whisk's Food AI takes the ingredients you have and finds uses for them through an understanding of the types of recipes you love, making your cooking experience simpler and smarter."
