Connecting your camera to the ConstructionSite app

Samsung Gear 360 (2016)

Note: The instructions below are for the camera looking for an “eyeball”. For the "bone" looking camera, please scroll below to the 2017 Gear 360 instructions.

Make sure a micro SD card is inserted. The card slot is located behind the door.

Turn on the camera by pressing and holding the power button on the side.

Make sure the camera is fully charged. On the camera screen, you can see the battery level.

Press and hold the Menu button until you see "Gear 360 Manager".

Double tap the Menu button until you see "Google Street View".

Press the button on the top of the camera to select this mode and activate Wi-Fi.

Make sure your phone is fully charged. p>

On your phone, open the Settings app.

Connect your phone to the 360 ​​camera's Wi-Fi network (which will end with ".OSC"). The default password is the set of 8 digits displayed on the second line of the camera screen.

Return to the StructionSite app and switch to 360 mode to start taking photos.

Samsung Gear 360 (2017)

All newly purchased 2017 Gear 360 cameras will require a

firmware update

for the camera to work with ConstructionSite. Do NOT proceed without updating the firmware.

How to Update Firmware for Gear 360 2017

Go to the iOS app store and download the Samsung Gear 360 app

Open the Gear 360 app, click “Connect” and follow the instructions on how to connect the camera using a special “Connect to iOS” instruction flow

Once logged in, return to the Gear 360 app main page and navigate to Settings > Firmware Version

You should receive instructions on updating the camera to the latest firmware

How to Connect Gear 360 (2017) Camera to StructionSite:< /p>

Press and hold the red power button on the side of the camera to turn on the camera.

Make sure the camera is fully charged and the SD card has enough space to take photos. On the camera screen, you can see the battery level and the number of photos that can be captured.

Press and hold the Menu button (located above the power button) until "Google Street View" appears. Do NOT choose "Connect to iOS". If you do NOT see Google Street View appear right away, you need to update your camera firmware below.

The name of the camera's Wifi Host will appear on the screen (i.e. Gear 360(XXXX).OSC ), along with its password below

Open Settings on your mobile device.
